On this vote, the House defeated a proposed overhaul of U.S. immigration laws that drew support from most Republicans who voted but unanimous Democratic opposition because it failed to provide a path to citizenship for the undocumented aliens known as dreamers.

4. Pass GOP Immigration Bill Funding Border Wall and Accepting Dreamers (27-Jun-18 HR 6136) 4. BUILDING BORDER WALL, ACCEPTING DREAMERS

On this vote, the House passed a bill providing $25 billion over five years for security measures including a wall on the border with Mexico and offering a lengthy path to legal status to up to 1.8 million of the undocumented aliens known as dreamers. The bill was backed by the GOP leadership and President Trump but opposed by nearly half of the Republican caucus and all Democrats who voted.

A YEA vote was aligned with President Trump and a NAY vote with National Immigration Forum.
